On some models (ex. 4e series) there a stopper that prevent the tray from being removed. You can remove it using a philips head screw driver. Please see the following photos to help you remove the tray.
Remove the screws in the center of each block and both screws and blocks can be discarded.
Once the blocks are removed, you can lift the tray slightly and remove the rest of the way out of the machine.
